Color me surprised when I was contacted by the fine folks at Viking Bags to field-test one of their premium backpacks - the Viking Explorer 22 Liters Adventure Touring Motorcycle Riding Backpack.
Naturally, this is not the kind of bag I would take into, say, the Wind Rivers backcountry. But it looks exceptionally rugged…. the kind of bag that would hold up being thrown around by airport baggage handlers during international travel. And since international travel is finally close to being in the cards again, this pack may live up to its true purpose, even if I’m not racing on a motorcycle through the streets of Milan.
